It was quite common in Victorian and Edwardian times to see stained glass panels in the garden, usually in the summer house or pavilion. The last decade , thanks to such exhibitions as the Chelsea Flower Show, has seen a revival of stained glass in the garden.
Stained glass in a summer house looks good not just during the day but at night when it provides a colourful glow to the garden.
